GrantConnect is the Australian Government's whole of government grants information system. It publishes information about grant opportunities, grant guidelines and grants awarded by Commonwealth entities.

It is an important public source for understanding which organisations have received Commonwealth grant funding, the purpose of a grant and its reported value and term.

WHAT INFORMATION DOES GRANTCONNECT PUBLISH?

GrantConnect centralises information about Commonwealth grants. It can include:

  • forecast grant opportunities
  • current grant opportunities and guidelines
  • grant awards
  • grant variations and updates
  • relevant grant decision information

Grant award information helps improve transparency around the distribution of Commonwealth funding and the programs through which it is awarded.

WHAT CAN YOU FIND IN A GRANT AWARD?

A GrantConnect award may include details such as:

  • the Australian Government entity responsible for the grant
  • the grant recipient and, where available, its ABN
  • the grant title, program and activity
  • the purpose of the grant
  • the reported grant value
  • approval, publication and grant-term dates
  • the selection process and recipient location

The level of detail can vary between awards. Grant information should be read alongside the relevant grant opportunity guidelines, associated public material and the circumstances of the grant.

WHAT DOES GRANTCONNECT NOT COVER?

GrantConnect is a Commonwealth Government system. It does not provide a complete record of state, territory or local government grant programs.

Not every funding arrangement will appear in the same way, and published grant information can be updated or varied. A grant award is not, by itself, a complete account of a recipient's funding, financial position or performance.
